| Sculpt: |
| Moff Jerjerrod, the Imperial officer supervising the construction of the second Death Star above the forest moon of Endor, as seen in RETURN OF THE JEDI. When construction fell behind schedule, the Emperor sent Darth Vader to whip Jerjerrod's crews into shape. Although the station was able to destroy several key Alliance cruisers during the Battle of Endor, Jerjerrod perished aboard the Death Star when the Rebels detonated the main reactor. This is an all-new sculpt and the first incarnation as a figure for this character in any STAR WARS toy line. The facial likeness to actor Michael Pennington is a bit off, although it looks more like him than not. The face is a bit too thin and angular, but this is likely a result of using a snap-on, ball-jointed head. It gets the folds and draping of his stiff, Imperial uniform right, and even has the correct rankings as per the film, which were incorrect: his rank badges make him a Commander, not a Moff. (This inconsistancy was later retconned in the Expanded Universe by explaining his promotion to Moff and assignment to the Death Star II were done in secrecy.) However, the greatest flaw of the figure is the ridiculously wide leg stance. Photography samples from Toy Fair showed the legs a bit more together, but something obviously went wrong in the manufacturing process. It rates an 8 out of 10. |

| Paint: |
| The figure's arms, legs, torso, and pelvis are molded in the grayish-green of his uniform. The head and hands are molded in the pale flesh color of his skin. The head has blue-gray eyes, with medium brown for his hair and eyebrows. His uniform cap is grayish-green, with a silver accent. (Early samples had Moff Jerjerrod painted with a rather cartoonish scowl on his face; later samples softened it to a look of smug indifference. My review is based on the "scowling" version.) The arms and hands have no paint applications. The torso has silver, blue, and red paint decos for his ranking badges. The lower tunic has a black belt, with a silver buckle and small, off-set silver accent. The legs have matte black paint applications to his calf-length boots. 8/10. |

| Articulation: |
| Ball-jointed neck, with planer-cut shoulders, wrists, waist, and hips. The elbows are angle-cut, allowing the figure to hold it's blaster in a two-handed grip. 8/10. |

| Accessories: |
| Character-specific figure stand, standard-issue Imperial blaster, and random-packed mini hologram: 8/10. |

| Packaging: |
| The same The Saga Collection card as the rest of the series, with a character-specific background image--in this case, the interior of the second Death Star's main hanger. The insert image is a nice close-up shot of Jerjerrod, and has The Saga Collection logo to the right of the character image. The figure's name is just below TSC logo, with its collection number (Moff Jerjerrod is Saga #040) just to the right. To the left are the five white-orange triangles, indicating the position of the enclosed mini-figure. The cardback features another close-up image of Jerjerrod from the film, with text that explains his role in ROTJ, along with the diecut display area for the Exclusive Hologram Figure: 8.5/10. |

| Availability: |
| As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for about two months; it is also available from most online sources. Alas, it appears to be the big pegwarmer of the wave: 9/10. |

| Conclusion: |
| Moff Jerjerrod joins the growing ranks of previously unmade Imperial officers, a move to appease army-builders and diehard collectors who want to see EVERY on-screen character from the films made into a figure. Not terribly exciting for kids, though, but it's another figure for the heroes to blast, and gets a final score of 8.2/10. |
