Published on Sunday, 05 February 2012 14:57
Finally after going to Walmart every day this week, I have found the 2012 Walmart Exclusive Discover the Force figures at my local store here in Texas. Out of the 3 stores I went to today, only 1 of them had them. Only 1 case made it to the pegs and luckily I was able to get the complete wave. Price was $8.96 each. Still no sign of the other exclusives though. Happy Hunting!
Darth Vader - MH06

Published on Sunday, 05 February 2012 04:48
Added to our Movie Heroes Photo Gallery today is the 2012 Darth Vader MH06 figure. This is the Darth Vader with Slashing Lightsaber attack action from 2005 if I do believe. This figure has very limited figure articulation and is pretty much stuck in one stance. Though many collectors will pass on this figure, it may appeal to children. Enjoy the Photos.

Ok getting back to our Movie Heroes Photo Gallery, here is the 2012 Obi-Wan Kenobi MH08 figure. If this figure looks familiar its because its the same figure as the Obi-Wan Kenobi VC76 figure from the Vintage Collection, with some different accessories. I have taken all new photos and did not recycle the older Vintage Collection photos, so be sure to check them out.

Big-Box Store Round Up of 2012 Toys
-
Published on Tuesday, 31 January 2012 19:06
So 1/30/2012 has passed and the new toys have shown up somewhat, but what was actually on the shelves and pegs at the 3 big-box stores here in Texas? I stopped by my local stores on 1/30 & 1/31 and here is what I found.
Toys R Us had the best selection of toys I have seen yet and its nice to see the huge Star Wars Section in front of the store. They had plenty of Clone Wars figures, Movie Heroes figures, and Vintage figures. Also Movie Heroes Class I Fleet Vehicles, Class II Assault Vehicles, Vintage Vehicles, Battle Packs, role playing toys, and their exclusive Pod Racer Pilot set. They pretty much had everything.
Target had no where near as much as Toys R Us, but did have lots of Clone Wars figures, Movie Heroes figures, Vintage figures, Movie Heroes Class I Fleet Vehicles, Class II Assault Vehicles, and their exclusive 2-packs on the shelves and pegs.
Walmart was the biggest let down. There was a lot of empty pegs and shelf spaces. Most of the stores had a small selection of figures. Some stores had Movie Heroes Class I Fleet Vehicles, Class II Assault Vehicles, and Battle Packs while some did not. Out of the 5 local stores, there was no 2012 Discover the Force exclusives to be found. Per the toy manager I spoke to, he did say they are all on order and should show up within the week, but we will see. Happy Hunting!

Well today is the official date for retailers to sell the new 2012 Movie Heroes and Discover the Force toys even though retailers like Walmart and Toys R Us has already started to sell them weeks in advance. Target seems like the only store sticking to the release date at least around here. Hopefully all the pegs and shelves at all retailers will be fully stocked with the new toys. Happy Hunting!

Added to our Gallery today are some boxed preview photos of the 2012 Movie Heroes Anakin Skywalker's Podracer and Sebulba's Podracer vehicles. Price on these were $24.96 each. They look to be just repacks from Episode 1, but I will have to open them up and check for sure. The box art looks nice though, be sure to check them out.
Battle Droid Eye Change Coming?
-
Published on Tuesday, 24 January 2012 19:05
Just noticed something on the 2 Movie Heroes Battle Droid MH04 figures. The Battle Droid (Tan) MH04 figure has big eyes and the Battle Droid (Maroon) MH04 has small eyes. Will Hasbro be consistent and change big to small or small to big? Per the date stamps on the back of the cards I have, the Tan version is the earlier of the 2. Personally I like the smaller eyes better. I guess we will have to wait and see as more of these hit the pegs.

The MTT has officially been revealed in a Hasbro Product Booklet from the UK Toy Fair and a photo has surfaced over at theredshadows.com. This will be the next Big Vehicle for 2012 and will probably retail for about $150. Per the description in the booklet it reads:
"The most iconic vehicle from Episode 1 comes to life with 20 combat-ready droids and full battle action sounds, weaponary, and motorized droid deployment".
Sounds like it will be awesome.
