Sculpt:
Former Jedi who becomes a Sith Master, as seen in the popular game STAR WARS: KINIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC. In the canon storyline for the game, Revan takes an apprentice, another former Jedi, Malak. The two start a war against the Old Republic, roughly 4,000 years before the events of STAR WARS: EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE. Revan is betrayed by Malak, and returns to the light. He helps the Jedi win the Sith War, and defeats Malak. In the game itself, Revan could be played as either male or female. The character was runner-up in TOYFARE magazine's 2006 Fan's Choice Figure Poll, but as the winner, Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, was already being made into a figure, Darth Revan was picked as the winner by Hasbro. This all-new sculpt does a great job of capturing the look of Darth Revan, although some details are a bit off. Also, the sculpt sacrifices articulation in some areas, rating it an 8 out of 10.

Paint:
Sith Lords tend to favor dark colors, and Revan's no exception. His head, arms, legs, torso, and pelvis are all molded in black. His head has a pale flesh tone paint application to his exposed skin areas on the top of his head and his ears. The mask he wears has a dark gunmetal gray paint app, with black, red, and silver decos. His gauntlets and chest wrappings are a muted, deep red. There are silver accents on the torso, to his armor clasps. His pelvis and legs have gray paint apps to the wrappings. His inner loincloth is gray. His outer skirts are molded in gray, with a lighter, rusty red paint app to the under skirt, and silver accents. There are light gray markings on the strap around his waist. His hooded cape is also molded in gray, with no paint apps. His lightsaber is molded in translucent red, with silver and black paint decos. He also comes with Darth Malak's lightsaber hilt, which has silver and black paint apps. 8/10.

Packaging:
The new 30th Anniversary Collection card uses stylized "painted" imagery of the characters on the individual cards, with the new STAR WARS logo in stark white and cut in on an angle. It's a design that initially had collectors divided: you either loved the new look or hated it! The film each figure comes from is at the bottom right edge of the card, while the character's number in the collection is on the blister insert. Darth Revan is figure number 34, and he's from the "Expanded Universe." A sticker over the blister bubble reads "Toyfare Fans' Choice*! *As selected in Toyfare magazine's Top 25 Fans' Choice Poll 2006." The cardback features the same promotional art of Revan from KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC as the front, and has text that explains the character's role in it and a "Character Profile": 8.5/10

Availability:
As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for three months, and is also available from various online sources. It's one of the hottest figures of the EU-centric wave 5, and sells out almost immediately. Many collectors have still not managed to find this one at retail: 5/10.

Conclusion:
KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC is still a hugely popular game, and fans have been howling for a Darth Revan figure since the game first debuted. It's development was chronicled in the pages of TOYFARE (and at their web site), creating intense interest in it. While the limited articulation is disappointing, what's more upsetting is the figure's poor distribution, as collectors and kids are still scrambling to get him: 7.4/10.
