Sculpt:
The Ithorian Jedi Master Roron Corobb was one of the Jedi attempting to protect Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during the Separatist seige of Coruscant in the CLONE WARS micro-series. Master Corobb and Talz Jedi Foul Moudama were both felled by the cyborg General Grievous, who left Master Shaak Ti alive to tell the Jedi that the Seperatist commander had succeeded in taking Palpatine hostage. The animated character has been faithfully translated into the movie/realistic style of the current Hasbro toy line. This all-new sculpt does a great job of translating his alien physiology into plastic: 9 out of 10.

Paint:
Corobb's head, hands, and feet are molded in a medium brown, with a gray wash applied to bring out sculpting details. There are light blue, black, and white paint apps to his eyes. His toenails have medium gray paint apps. His torso, arms, and lower skirt are molded in a light sand color. There is a medium brown paint app on his torso to the exposed skin at the base of his neck. His belt has a cream colored paint app, with gray and silver decos. His pelvis and legs are molded in cream, with a purple wash to bring out sculpting details. His lightsaber is molded in translucent blue, with a glow-in-the-dark core. The hilt has a silver paint app. 8/10.

Articulation:
Corobb's neck, shoulders, knees, and ankles are all ball-jointed. His waist, wrists, and hips have standard planer-cut joints, while his elbows are angle-cut. Ball-jointed elbows really would've taken this figure to the next level: 8/10.

Accessories:
Corobb comes with a lightsaber (repack of the McQuarrie Concept Stormtrooper saber) and character-specific collectible coin. Although his hands are rather large, smaller sabers do fit. His lightsaber is similar to the ones that came with ROTS Sneak Preview General Grievous and TSC Sora Bulq, so you can swap them out if you prefer: 8/10.

Packaging:
The new 30th Anniversary Collection card uses stylized "painted" imagery of the characters on the individual cards, with the new STAR WARS logo in stark white and cut in on an angle. It's a design that initially had collectors divided: you either loved the new look or hated it! The film each figure comes from is at the bottom right edge of the card, while the character's number in the collection is on the blister insert. Roron Corobb is figure number 31, and he's from "Expanded Universe." The cardback features an actual screen shot from CLONE WARS, and has text that explains the character's role in it and a "Character Profile": 8.5/10

Availability:
As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for over a month, and is available from various online sources. It initially sold out quickly, but now seems to be not quite as hot: 7.5/10.

Conclusion:
After the release of a Foul Moudama figure in The Saga Collection last year that was nothing but a repack of the POTF2 Muftak with new accessories, fans feared a Roron Corobb would end up being a retooled TSC Momaw Nadon. Fortunately, Hasbro did give us a brand new sculpt. Still, many fans had hoped for a figure that was stylized in the CLONE WARS animated line from 2003-2004. That line is dead, and this version is certainly an acceptable alternative: 8.2/10.
