Sculpt:
Feet far apart and both hands on his lightsaber, his face has a sly grin that might be more appropriate on an action figure of Ash from ARMY OF DARKNESS. However, since Obi-Wan has exhibited an almost swashbuckling flare in both ATTACK OF THE CLONES and CLONE WARS, it isn't completely inconsistent with the character. This sculpt rates a solid 8 out of 10.

Paint:
Like most Jedi, Obi-Wan's robes favor earth tones. His tan tunic covers a sandy-colored shirt and pants, with medium brown boots. His hair has been given an orange color, with a more brownish hue to his beard, and blue eyes. His lightsaber is a light blue with black accents on the handle. Overall, there are about 8 colors, with some gray on his utility belt. It's all very accurate to the cartoon depiction, so it gets a score of 9.5 /10, with a half-point off for a dab of darker-brown paint slopped on his tunic.

Articulation:
Obi-Wan has the standard four points of articulation for this line: neck, both shoulders, and waist planer-cuts. His left arm crosses over his waist so he can hold his lightsaber with both hands. If you put the saber in his left hand only, you can raise it over his head, but this leaves the right arm in a rather awkward, crooked position. Articulation is a mediocre 6.5 /10.

Accessories:
Included is Obi-Wan's lightsaber and a STAR WARS: CLONES WARS-logo figure stand. The lightsaber blade is in transparent light blue, with little starbursts at the bottom that were part of CLONE WARS micro-series' Art Director Paul Rudish's early design sketches, but were later abandoned in favor of the more traditional straight, white blades with a colored halo surrounding them. An average 8 /10.

Packaging:
The same cartoon-inspired design as the rest of the figures in this line, although the die-cut insert has a really nice image of Obi-Wan wielding his lightsaber with one hand: 8.5 /10.

Availability:
I'm still seeing plenty of these on the pegs at Target, a full month after their December 2003 release: 9 /10.0

Conclusion:
I like this version of Obi-Wan better than the one from the realistically-styled CLONE WARS figure line, even if it doesn't come with a bunch of accessories. However, it would have been even sweeter if Hasbro had done this figure in his Clone Trooper armor from the battle of Muunilist. Still, he rates a respectable 8.3 /10
