The Rebel Troopers that accompanied Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca to the Endor moon in RETURN OF THE JEDI were all highly-skilled fighters hand picked by General Solo. These members of the Rebel Alliance were part of its Special Forces (or SpecForces) unit, under the command of General Crix Madine. This Rebel Trooper never actually made it to the Endor moon, though. He was a highly decorated gunnery specialist assigned to the MILLENNIUM FALCON during it's attack on the second Death Star, in orbit above the moon. General Cracken wears a uniform that's devoid of the camo pattern worn by those that actually were on the Endor moon along with Solo, Organa, and Skywalker. Although the figure is outfitted in full planetary assault gear, his helmet, backpack, and sidearm weren't needed aboard the FALCON. Both versions of this figure reuse the torso, arms and pelvis of the previously released SAGA '02 Endor Rebel Soldier figures, with new legs and heads. It rates an 8 out of 10.

Paint:
General Cracken's head and neck are molded in medium flesh tone. His hair and eyebrows are medium gray, with light gray paint applications in the hair. His eyes are white, with black centers. His headset is white, with silver accents. His torso, pelvis, arms, and legs are molded in an off-white. There are brown and medium brown paint apps to his gloves, with silver accents to the communications panel on the left glove. The grenade bandolier around his torso is dark brown, with black and gold decos. His belt and blaster holster are molded in olive green, with medium brown and medium green pouches, and silver accents. His leggings are light tan paint apps. His boots are molded in black, with a dark charcoal gray wash applied. His jacket is a medium tan, with dark brown weathering effects, as well as a medium brown harness and gray rank insignia. His backpack and helmet are molded in olive green, with black and silver decos to the pack, and green and dark green decos to the helmet. His DH-17 blaster is molded in black, with a silver paint app at the barrel. 8.5/10.

Articulation:
Ball-jointed head, knees, and ankles. Planer-cut shoulders, biceps, wrists, waist, and hips. The jacket virtually eliminates the shoulder articulation, and the wire from his headset to his belt pack restricts neck articulation. 7/10.

Packaging:
The same The Saga Collection card as the rest of the series, with a character-specific background image--in this case, an exterior of the Endor sanctuary moon. The insert image is a pair of publicity shots of both Rebel Troopers, and has The Saga Collection logo to the right of the character image. The figures' name is just below TSC logo, with their collection number (Rebel Trooper is Saga #046) just to the right. To the left are the five white-orange triangles, indicating the position of the enclosed mini-figure. The cardback features a small film image of several Rebel Troopers (none of whom are actually the ones made into toys) and text explaining their roles in RETURN OF THE JEDI, along with the diecut display area for the Exclusive Hologram Figure: 8.5/10.

As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for over three months and sells out quickly and often; it is also available from most online sources: 7.5/10.

Conclusion:
A good figure from the Saga '02 line that really good have stood a bit more retooling (eliminate the removable aspect of the jacket, sculpt the shoulder part to the arms and give it ball-jointed shoulders). I could see Hasbro revisiting this figure at some point in the future and retooling the arms and that jacket, but for now this gives us four versions for army building (two versions from Saga '02, and two versions from TSC): 7.9/10
