Review

Sculpt:
Lushros Dofine, captain of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' flagship THE INVISIBLE HAND, as seen in REVENGE OF THE SITH. This Neimoidian was under the direct command of General Grievous, and was pushed beyond his limits during the invasion of Coruscant and kidnapping of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. A relatively minor character, with a few lines uttered in fear and confusion. During the rescue of Palpatine by Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, they boarded THE INVISIBLE HAND and caused severe damage to the ship's bridge during battle with Grievous and his MagnaGuards. Dofine and the rest of the ship's Neimoidian crew were killed in the fracas, often by the misguided blaster bolts of their own Battle Droids. 9 out of 10.

Paint:
The figure's arms, legs, and robe are molded in the light gray color of his uniform. The head and hands are molded in a medium green, with the head painted the brown of his headdress. The Neimoidian eyes are a complicated paint application of dark pink, orange, metallic gold, and black. The flesh areas have a dark green wash on the head and hands. The robes have a tabard that is painted a matching brown to the headdress; this same brown is used on its boots, too. The neck area is painted the medium green of the head, and given the same dark green wash. The data pad and command console accessories are molded in gray and painted bright silver. The pad has copper and gray paint details. The console has two areas of a light metallic green paint decoration, with stickers simulating the bright green and orange display screens of the console: 9/10.

Articulation:
Ball-jointed neck, with planer-cut shoulders, elbows, and wrists. Like Bib Fortuna, there is no articulation whatsoever below the shoulders, as his long robes are a single molded piece with stationary legs molded underneath: 7.5/10.

Accessories:
Character-specific figure stand, data pad, and INVISIBLE HAND command console: 8/10.

Packaging:
The same The Saga Collection card as the rest of the series, with a character-specific background image--in this case, the interior of THE INVISIBLE HAND's bridge. The insert image is a nice close-up shot Dofine, and has The Saga Collection logo to the right of the character image. The figure's name is just below TSC logo, with its collection number (Lushros Dofine is Saga #023) just to the right. To the left are the five white-orange triangles, indicating the position of the enclosed mini-figure. The cardback features a small film image of Dofine, with text that explains his role in ROTS, along with the diecut display area for the Exclusive Hologram Figure: 8.5/10.

Availability:
As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for almost three months, and sold briskly at first, then began the pegwarmer of the wave; it is also available from most online sources: 9/10.

Conclusion:
This one's clearly aimed at collectors and diorama builders, my friends. It's limited articulation and relative obscurity doesn't really make it too appealing to all but the most alien-loving of kiddies. However, it's an all-new sculpt, and comes with decent accessories, giving Lushros Dofine a final score of 8.5/10.
