Sculpt:
Rep Been is a member of the Gungun ruling council, whose position is Keeper of Ancient Records, and was seen in THE PHANTOM MENACE. As a member of Boss Nass' council, it was Been's duty to reveal the location of the Gungun Sacred Place when it was decided to evacuate Otah Gunga during the Trade Federation occupation of Naboo. When an alliance was formed between the Naboo and the Gungans, Been and the Gungan war council coordinated the arming of the Gungans from their secret armories. This figure is an all-new sculpt, the first time this character has been made as a figure. While it's a fairly accurate sculpt, the head is a bit too small for the body, and it's a bit shorter than most Gungans appeared in the film. It rates a 7.5 out of 10.

Paint:
The head and body are molded in a dark rusty brown. The face and eyes are given a pink and salmon paint app, with white eyes with green centers. The cowl has a forest green paint app. The shoulder guard has a mottled medium brown deco, with a light tan trim. The arms have a light tan edge to the robe sleeves, brown gauntlets edged with copper. The outer robe has a light tan edge. A sash of office hangs from his shoulder guard, with off-white paint decos on a raised pattern. The legs have a pink and salmon deco on the feet. The hands are molded in pale flesh, with a salmon deco to the backs of the hands, and greenish-gray nails. The staff is brown, with a gold ornamental top and gold bottom piece: 8/10.

Articulation:
A salt shaker with arms, for the most part. The ball-jointed neck is rendered useless by the draping of the hood. The planer-cut shoulders are all but immovable because of the shoulder guards. The planer-cut biceps and wrists work, and that's about it. The long robes mean there are no waist, hip, or leg articulation whatsoever. 5/10.

Packaging:
The same The Saga Collection card as the rest of the series, with a character-specific background image--in this case, an exterior of the Naboo swamp at the Gungan Sacred Place. The insert image is a nice close-up shot of Rep Been seated, and has The Saga Collection logo to the right of the character image. The figure's name is just below TSC logo, with its collection number (Rep Been is Saga #049) just to the right. To the left are the five white-orange triangles, indicating the position of the enclosed mini-figure. The cardback features a small film image of Rep Been with another member of the council, with text that explains his role in TPM, along with the diecut display area for the Exclusive Hologram Figure: 8.5/10.

Availability:
As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for three months and, like most figures in this wave, sells out quickly; it is also available from most online sources: 6/10.

Conclusion:
I can't seriously say that this figure deserved to be made over some of the Queen Amidala costume-change figures that remain unproduced from TPM, but a Gungan besides Jar Jar or Boss Nass is a welcome change for both hardcore dioramists and TPM fans. It can easily be customized into other Gungan council members. It just can't sit down or really move anything other than its elbows and wrists. 6.8/10
