Sculpt:
Geonosian warrior Sun Fac was present during the trials of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker for espionage in ATTACK OF THE CLONES. Sun Fac can be distinguished from other winged warriors by his scarred, missing right eye. This CGI-created alien character had minimal screen time in AOTC, but it's the first new Geonosian figure since the AOTC "Geonosis War Room" Screen Scene set, which included Poggle the Lesser. Sun Fac has a lot of detail, and the sonic blaster weapon is pretty decent. 9.5 out of 10.

Paint:
The figure's head, arms, legs, and torso are molded in a rusty brown, then given an olive green wash. The left eye is painted red with a black pupil. The torso has a sleeveless blue tunic, with gold and black trim and a red jewel set in the center of the chest. The figure wears a jeweled loincloth at its waist that was molded in gold-colored plastic, with black paint accents. there is a continuation of the loincloth on the figure's pelvis, with red and silver paint accents. The wings are molded from a clear plastic, with black veins and a reddish wash on them. The sonic blaster rifle is molded in gold plastic, with a dark copper emitter and a brighht green power source. The spear is molded in sliver plastic, with a black handle. 9.5/10.

Articulation:
Ball-jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, and ankles. Hips, waist, wrists, and wings are planer-cut joints. Probably one of the most thoroughly articulated background aliens Hasbro has ever produced! 9/10.

Accessories:
Character-specific figure stand, spear, and sonic blaster. Unlike the rubbery plastic of Princess Leia/Boushh's rifle or Han Solo's force pike that invariably end up bent, the spear is pretty rigid and should retain its shape well. The sonic blaster rifle is one piece, with no "action features" -- and the figure's added articulation means that it can hold the rifle with both hands without looking awkward. 9/10.

Packaging:
The same The Saga Collection card as the rest of the series, with a character-specific background image--in this case, a cave interior from Geonosis. The insert image is a production still, and has The Saga Collection logo to the right of the character image. The figure's name is just below TSC logo, with its collection number (Sun Fac is Saga #016) just to the right. Just to the figure's left is the new series of five arrows, indicating the placement of the hologram figure. The cardback features a film image of a flying Geonosian in the droid factory with a sonic blaster (clearly not Sun Fac, though, as it has two eyes), and has text that explains the character's place in AOTC, along with the diecut display area for the Exclusive Hologram Figure: 8.5/10.

Availability:
As of this writing, the figure has been appearing at retail for about two months. Along with Poggle the Lesser, Sun Fac is the pegwarmer of this wave, and sells slowly at retail; it is also available from most online sources: 9/10.

Conclusion:
The best Geonosian warrior figure ever. I'm not exactly a big fan of those buzzing insectoids, but this is really a fine example of sculpt, painting, and accessories coming together to give us a figure that was better than we could have hoped for: 9.1/10.
